Yael Stone, who was born in Australia and living in New York City in 2013 in the film, played Lorna Mello as the prisoner on Orange Is the New Black. Yael is a graduate of NIDA. Yael was fortunate to be able to collaborate with Australia's leading storytellers. She has worked behind-the-scenes on film, television as well as theatre. Yael has a successful career with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has made New York City her home following she was a part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced this critically-acclaimed show. Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. It is located in the Bushwick Brooklyn studio The Cannery encourages new and artistic writings, and are a source of inspiration for new concepts.
