Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American artist, writer and actress, best known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s the television show Gilligan's Island. The actress began her career in stage shows during the 1950s and began in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the following years, she appeared on Broadway for a number of performances until 1957 when Li'lAbner went big in the National Theatre. Also, she released her debut music album, It's Time For Tina during the same year. Louise's debut appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda in God's Little Acre which was a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York in the same time and was Lee Strasberg's student. In 1964, she was offered the role of her life when CBS signed her to portray Ginger Grant. Louise played a wonderful job of juggling between Broadway as well as Hollywood. She was portrayed as a dark, contrasting characters to the glamour-doll image she was portrayed as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also appeared on the show as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she also has made a name for herself as a highly successful director of numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural or The 100. The family that she was raised with moved out of Essex to Toronto, where she spent growing up and in adolescence. After being chosen for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997 and is a resident of Vancouver ever from then on.

A successful career may hide the darkest of stories. Lolo is in her current post after a lot of struggle and perseverance. Jones was the sole member of a family with five children, and grew up in a very poor environment. The mother of Jones moved around constantly and even lived in the basement of her church. Washington Butler, who is from Puyallup Washington, was always fascinated with the arts. She sang in choirs, competed in singing contests, and appeared in both schools and the local theater.
